Settings Command

The /settings command allows you to customize your HoYoVista experience, including notifications, privacy, data collection, and automatic features.

Settings Categories

The settings are organized into several categories accessible via a dropdown menu:

General Settings

Update Notifications

• When enabled, you'll receive DMs about updates, new features, bug fixes, and important announcements
• Requires Discord DMs to be enabled

Privacy Blur

• When enabled, sensitive information like UIDs will be hidden from other users in responses
• Adds an extra layer of privacy protection
• Your own data is always visible to you

Collect Analytics Data

• When enabled, anonymized usage data is collected to help improve the bot
• Data helps identify bugs, usage patterns, and feature requests
• Also enables personalized end-of-year wrapped (similar to Spotify Wrapped)

Check-in Settings

DM Notifications

• Receive DMs when automatic check-ins occur
• Requires Discord DMs to be enabled

Per-Game Auto Check-in

• Enable/disable automatic check-ins for each linked game individually
• Check-ins occur automatically each day between configured times
• Default times: 00:05 - 00:40 UTC

Code Redemption Settings

DM Notifications

• Receive DMs when automatic code redemptions occur
• Requires Discord DMs to be enabled

Per-Game Auto Redemption

• Enable/disable automatic code redemption for each linked game individually
• Codes are fetched from external APIs and redeemed automatically

Reset Settings

• Reset all settings to default values
• Warning: This action cannot be reversed
• Requires confirmation before resetting

How to Use

1. Use /settings to open the settings menu
2. Select a category from the dropdown menu
3. Click buttons to toggle settings on/off
4. Changes are saved immediately

Rate Limiting

• Settings updates are rate-limited to prevent abuse
• Maximum 5 updates per 30 seconds
• If rate-limited, wait for the cooldown period

Caching

• Settings are cached for 5 minutes to improve performance
• Cache is automatically cleared when you update settings
• You may need to wait a moment for changes to fully propagate

Tips

• Enable automatic check-ins to never miss daily rewards
• Enable privacy blur if you share bot responses publicly
• Enable analytics to help improve the bot (optional)
• Configure notifications based on your preferences
